Estonia took part of the European Hydrogen Skills Stakeholder Conference 2026 in Brussels, organised under the Green Skills for Hydrogen project. The event brought together key European stakeholders to address one of the most critical challenges of the energy transition,\u00a0upskilling and reskilling the workforce for the hydrogen economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From high level discussions to practical training frameworks, the agenda highlighted the European Hydrogen Skills Strategy, the development of a core VET curriculum, and new training programmes and tools for hydrogen professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TalTech \/ Estonian Maritime Academy contributes to this transition by developing future ready maritime engineering competencies, integrating hydrogen technologies into education and applied research, and supporting the alignment of EU skills development with industry needs, an important step also for strengthening Estonia\u2019s hydrogen ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estonia was represented at the conference by Valentin Bratkov<\/strong> (TalTech \/ Estonian Maritime Academy), Ismail Mirzojev<\/strong>, Arne K\u00fc\u00fct<\/strong>, and Andrei Atskassov<\/strong> (VOCO Tartu Vocational College).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
