Duration: September 2025 – February 2027
The VESD project focuses on strengthening vocational education and training (VET) by integrating hydrogen-related knowledge into teaching and learning for sustainable development. As hydrogen becomes a key element of the European energy transition, the project supports VET providers in adapting curricula, pedagogical approaches, and qualification pathways to meet emerging green-skills demands.
The main objective is to establish a European Network of Excellence that fosters structured cooperation among VET institutions, enabling continuous exchange of best practices, development of hydrogen-related learning arrangements, and alignment of training with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). Through collaboration, the project enhances educators’ capacity to teach hydrogen technologies and supports the preparation of a skilled workforce for the transition to renewable energy systems.
By linking sustainability goals with vocational innovation, VESD contributes to modern, future-ready VET systems and promotes the practical integration of hydrogen topics into technical education across Europe.
