The Hydrogen Centres of Vocational Excellence (H2CoVE) project aims to develop a highly skilled workforce capable of supporting the transition to a hydrogen-based economy across Europe with focus on 5 regions Norway, Estonia, Ukraine, Austria, The Netherlands. The project brings together vocational education and training (VET) providers, higher education institutions, research organisations, and industry partners to create strong regional skills ecosystems aligned with the needs of the emerging hydrogen sector.
The primary goal of H2CoVE is to address the growing demand for specialised hydrogen-related competences and to ensure that skills shortages do not hinder technological innovation or delay the green transition. By developing modern curricula, training programmes, and collaboration models between education and industry, the project strengthens vocational excellence and prepares learners, teachers, and professionals to work safely and effectively with hydrogen technologies in energy, transport, and industrial applications.
